Sam's Story

Sam always loved getting presents especially ones that were delivered. Before Sam passed away his daddy asked him what he would like us to do for other sick children and he simply said give them presents.

Sam was diagnosed with Anaplastic Ependymoma in may 2011 aged 2, he had surgery to remove the tumour then went on to have chemotherapy. 14 months into a 18 month schedule the tumour stated to grow back. He had another surgery in September 2012 then went to Oklahoma, USA for proton beam therapy.

In october 2013 we were given the devastating news that the tumour had again started to grow and the chances of cure were very slim. Sam had another surgery in February 2014 and then a few  months later had to have another operation for a shunt to be fitted. He was due to start a second round of radiotherapy in May but unfortunately the cancer was too aggressive and Sam passed away on the 2nd may aged 5.

Send a message has been set up to carry out sams wishes.

We also want to raise awareness of paediatric brain tumours which can assist in easy diagnosis.
