Volunteers' Week 1st-7th June

Did you know this is National Volunteers' Week? Send A Message would like to say a huge THANK YOU to each and every one of our volunteers.

As this is National Volunteers' Week, what better time for us here at Send A Message to say a huge heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to each and every one of our Volunteers. Without all your help and generosity, we would not be able to fulfil Sam's wish and keep his legacy going..

From when we set up in October 2014 we have had so many wonderful people help us out. There has been so many ways in which people have helped out and, in doing so, never even realised they were volunteering.

We have had people run 5K, 10K and even a few have ran a marathon doing their fundraising for SAM. Some kids have asked for donations for SAM instead of Birthday presents - truely amazing for us to see this kindness from children. We have had people come along to help us bagpack. Some have arranged their own fundraising nights, a toy sale - giving all the donations to us, there has been raffles and collections at different functions.

There is also an endless list of people who helped us out with our 'Sam Sunshine Ball' we are overwhelmed by how generous everyone has been.  And yes even you who like our Facebook page, share our posts it helps us spread the word so Thank You too..

Send A Message is run by a committee of Volunteers so all money raised is used to buy gifts for children with a brain tumour. We work with numerous hospitals in Scotland & throughout the UK.

About Sam

Sam always loved getting presents especially ones that were delivered. Before Sam passed away his daddy asked him what he would like us to do for other sick children and he simply said give them presents.
