Kilmarnock couple lose 7 stone & raise cash for SAM

Anne and Andy Gibson did a sponsored diet and also arranged a fundraising night in the Howard Arms and raised £2,677 for SAM

Kilmarnock couple Anne and Andy Gibson decided to go on a diet, but instead of just losing weight they also decided to put their new health conscious lifestyle to good use and raise money for a charity. Send A Message were delighted to find out that their chosen charity was us.

Over the months as both Anne and Andy were doing their sponsored diet and were losing the pounds they were also raising lots of pounds for Send A Message in the process. And in total they lost an amazing 7 stone.

Not content with all the money they raised from their sponsored diet, they also organised a fundraising night on Saturday past in The Howard Arms. On the night there was a karaoke, a raffle with lots of amazing prizes and also an auction. After the raffle Anne made a presentation of a cheque to Send A Message for £2,227. Although after that they held the auction and brought the total raised to £2,677.

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to both Ann & Andy for the fantastic amount you raised for us. This money will help us send out lots of parcels to children

About Sam

Sam always loved getting presents especially ones that were delivered. Before Sam passed away his daddy asked him what he would like us to do for other sick children and he simply said give them presents.
